Pets Immigration to Curacao – Dogs and Cats

Pets should be accompanied by a veterinarian’s good health certificate issued at point of origin. Dogs and cats need a rabies inoculation certificate and current health certificate. Prohibited, also in transit, dogs, cats and parrots from South America (for the other islands dogs and cats from Central and South America, except Guyana and Surinam). For the whole Netherlands Antilles monkeys from the South American continent are prohibited.

It is important to check directly with the government of the country you plan to enter before taking a pet with you. Policies can change- an unpleasant surprise might await if you fail to do the necessary homework! Proper documentation of your pet’s health history and vaccination record must be on the forms that country requires. Island bureaucrats really like their forms.
